Project Dashboard

Next

The Project Dashboard page is similar to the Dashboard, but presents an overall picture of the current state of an individual project. The Project Dashboard gives you a graphical interpretation of project trends (source and build activity; average test success), as well as a list of associated workflows and recent activity. By selecting the ‘Changes’ or ‘My Builds’ tabs, you get a change-specific view of the project’s recent activities.

Project Main Tab

The Main tab lists the workflows and recent activity associated with a particular project, and gives a graphical representation of total source activity, build activity, and average test success. You can explore recent activity by selecting a workflow or Build Life number.

Selecting a workflow or Build Life number will take you to it’s specific page, where you can kick off a workflow build or run secondary processes on a Build Life.

Project Changes Tab

The Changes tab allows you to view the changes made to the project, chronologically detailing the latest builds. Clicking the expand icon next to a build number reveals the changes that went into that particular build.

If you want to explore a specific change, expanding the change number reveals the description of the change. To view the files that were involved in the change, click the View Files link.

Project My Builds Tab

The My Builds tab allows you to trace the steps that went into a build, even if it failed, for a project. You can explore a build or build request in one of a number of ways.

  • Following the Project link takes you to the project’s page, where you can view the workflows and recent activity.

  • The Workflow link takes you to the workflow’s page, where you can then view the most recent status, activity, or run a build.

  • Following the Build Life number or Stamp link gives you information about that particular Build Life, and offers you an opportunity to run a secondary process and view the history of the associated build.

  • For build requests, following the Request link takes you to that specific request’s page, where you can then view the request log.

From the My Builds tab, clicking on the Build Life number allows you to trace the steps that went into the build. In the case of a failed build, a report will pop up telling you why the build failed.
